I got a really sweet email from the Professor earlier and we decided to play catch up and have a drink to toast the good times and such and etcetera tomorrow.

He wrote: "I'm really looking forward to it! I think we should become good friends."

And where have I heard that song and dance before? Oh, yeah... it's all coming back to me...

But you know what? If there's any ex-lover I'd be willing to let into the friendship circle, it's him. He's got the brains, the wit, and the alcoholism so here's to that.
