It's baffling why I'm sitting here when there's absolutely no work to be done.

Phone hasn't rung all weekend, no voicemails, and only two emails received and they were both advertisements.

But, I'm making the most of it since I will be gone for five days.

I don't make New Year's resolutions because I think you should do the stuff you promise to do on Jan 1 all year round.

But, I will say that I'm happy we've all survived another year relatively intact, and that hopefully it will be a peaceful and good year.

I'll be at open bar in Chicago tomorrow night, suckling a sweet Jameson tap.

There'll be a new look to this joint when I get back.
